On week three

Through the readings I found that there are many investigations on the teaching of English using the web, and there is also powerful software that can improve and evaluate our students progress in pronunciation.
But I also reflected on the importance of the teacher in a class no matter how technological we can become.
I  discovered an interesting 2.0 page when dealing with the project I had to read. It is"Webquest", a page to design classes on line and make students participate with all the instructions on the cloud.
Many of the web sites and tools are collaborative and the students can really create, for example,  funny and interesting presentations or projects and immediately upload them and make them available for everybody.
The most important for me is to be prepared on how to deal with technology in order to motivate the student to learn.

On engine searchers:

From Archie engine search, going through Altavista, now google chrome were and are powerful magic online searchers, but now students are starting to use their smartphones and Iphones and they spend a lot of time with new engines such as those apps in both  for example: Play store,  Dogpile, Blekko,Chacha, Duck Duck go and several more.

I want to mention an apps for android a fantastic way of searching songs that you cannot recall,  the name is Shazam. the application LISTENS to the song and search the name and video.
best wishes

About nicenet

I must admit that in the first week I was a little lost surfing the nicenet, it is  a very complete tool to  to interact and learn about a particular matter. probably I was so anxious to start that I became a little blind.

There are too many activities developing at my school that I had to organize my time to get the best out of it.
Even more in the second week I still had some details to complete in nicenet.
I appreciate the great help of Courtney as I thank the post and messages form the rest of my classmates
Last I decided to focus this week on my blog and schedule my time.

Hi, everybody, I am Domingo Cadima from Arica, the city of the everlasting spring in Chile, it is not a big city, we are 190.000 people in the north of the country in the middle  of the driest dessert in the world, the Atacama dessert.
these are pictures of the many activities we have at the Abraham Lincoln School where I have worked for more than twenty years.
Here in Arica the weather is amazing, we have beautiful beaches and good restaurants.
